okay so i was having a conversation with a friend and he was telling me how he misses his fire for God that he had and and he feels like hes drifted a little and then later on in the conversation we were talking about reading the bible and he said that he should start reading the word again.....so my analogy is that when you build a fire you start of with sparks which lead to bigger and bigger flames but what do you have to do to get that fire to grow? you have to feed it and if you dont it will die down! Same with God, if you go to a conference and get pumped up and on fire for God and so excited then you leave and you keep reading your bible and getting into the word (which is the christians spirits food) and you feed that fire till its burning so high and strong for Jesus and you stay connected in worship and praying,and evangelizing and then you start to get "busy" so you read a little less and your fire starts to burn a little less until youve neglected it and forgotten to feed that fire enough to continue burning as much as it was. So then you get stuck at this point in life where you miss that fire for God and you want it so badly but you arent going to right away get that burning that you had, you have to start the sparks and continue feeding it with the word in order to get to that high point in your life again!
just wanted to write all this before bed and hopefully continue with it tomorrow =)
